Success Comes From Within

I never truely had success in my life until I was no longer afraid of it. I've had many mentors along the way who told me I was afraid of success and kept getting in my own way.

Here is an excerpt from one of my favorite books:
"What You Think of Me Is None of My Business"

"When you are conscious of your spiritual self and understand how it works, you are no longer controlled by yesterday's experiences and no longer fear that others won't love you."
This was huge for me. In marketing, we cannot fear that the customer might say 'no'. (the business version of 'others won't love you.').

When I first heard of this book's title, I thought it was silly. "Of course it matters what others think of me," I said. "Isn't that the basis of whether someone will buy my stuff? "

At that time I knew that people buy people, not stuff. But what I didn't know was that I needed to be sure of myself before others would believe in me.
